The Faculty of Theology at the University of Latvia continues the work of the Faculty of Theology which was established on February 4th, 1920, and unlawfully closed on August 22nd, 1940. The Faculty of Theology is a structural unit of academic studies and research under the University of Latvia. It carries out critical research and prepares academically trained theologians, researchers of religion, university lecturers, specialists in ethics and teachers of religion and ethics.
